Alternatively a web software developer which has mainly focused their time on front end design using frameworks such as Wordpress or Content Management Systems such as Shopify or Woocommerce may want to delve deeper into back-end functionality i.e. server-side development. This may involve writing code and building systems that interact with databases, APIs, and other components to power the front-end user interface such as Python, Django and MySQL.

Another option may be that an aspiring developer wishes to learn SEO or digital marketing skills to complement their coding and web development skills in order to improve search engine rankings and general notoriety.
