What Employers Want.

We help you build a portfolio which any developer can be proud of.

A portfolio today which showcases proficient knowledge in some of the latest coding languages and agile methodology is just as important as a bachelors degree.
If you want to stand out from other prospective candidates you need to develop a portfolio to showcase to potential employers in order to demonstrate that you.
It doesn’t necessarily matter what you have built but instead how well and what programming languages you have used to build it. All too often developers think they must build something totally original. If you can think of something unique – great – but if you cannot simply build something – anything which can demonstrate you are able to apply your skills.

Try focus on a range a small projects which shows you have capabilities in both front-end and back-end programming and that can be demonstrated in a few minutes. You may also want to focus on an application which looks to solve a problem, however small that problem is. By doing so you are displaying critical thinking and problem solving skills which is a key component software companies look for.

Your Learning Journey to Employment.

Acris Academy implements a structured learning journey with milestones and deadlines. It begins with simple tasks which progressively get more complex in nature, using more challenging programming languages and frameworks. In-between milestones you are introduced to coaches and speakers who give you insights on the expectations of software companies and the industry as a whole in order to fully prepare you for a career in software.

We also teach workplace skills, etiquette and expectations as most potential employers will be SME’s (small and medium enterprises) and will have an expectation that you have the right attitude and initiative towards work so that you don’t have to be constantly micro-managed which only takes them away from their own tasks and responsibilities.
